About this website

This is the website of the HEY Dyslexia Association, in Hull and East Yorkshire. It is a free directory of local dyslexia assessors and specialist teachers.

We do not provide assessments, teaching or individual advice ourselves.

Our members are independent

Every specialist listed is self-employed and works on their own. Each one is responsible for their own services, their prices and what they say about their qualifications and experience.

Any agreement you make is with the specialist, not with us.

Checking a specialist

Before a specialist joins, we ask for a copy of their Level 5 or Level 7 specialist dyslexia qualification. This shows they meet professional standards, and gives us evidence of it.

This is the one check we make.

Safeguarding and DBS checks are the responsibility of each specialist, because you contact them directly. Please ask a specialist about these checks before you book.

No endorsement or guarantee

Being listed is not a guarantee or an endorsement. Please check that a specialist’s services suit your needs.

Accuracy of information

The details on each page are published with the member’s permission. We try to keep them correct, but we cannot promise they are always complete or up to date. Please check details with the specialist.
